Sr. Accountant - 85-90K

Client located in Delray Beach, FL. They want someone who has big 4 and industry experience.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions for the Company’s various global entities

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

· Book accounting entries and assist in the financial statement construction and review

  • Analyze quarterly financial results to explain variances from prior year and budgets.

  • Manage the tracking of hedging activity (interest rates, FX, commodities) and related accounting implications (P&L, OCI, etc).

  • Support cash flow forecasting and cash management activities

  • Liaise with foreign 3rd party service providers (e.g. accountants, legal, audit, etc) to ensure timely and accurate financial inputs

  • Work directly with the CFO on special projects

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP

  • Leverage the company’s migration from QuickBooks to NetSuite (Oracle) Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

· Play a vital part in the company’s financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to appropriate parties

· Prepare a variety of ad hoc analyses

· Compile information needed for the year-end financial audit, the annual bank audit and annual tax return preparation

· Assist the other members of the accounting team with the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process

· Notify management of accounting and business issues as they develop in order to devise timely and appropriate actions

· Communicate effectively with commercial partners

· Be a “service-provider” within the department and to other departments by creating information used to make decisions and analyze the business

  • Protect the organization by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all laws and codes of conduct at all times

  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university

· Master’s degree and/or CPA a plus, but not required

· 5+ years relevant work experience – ideally a blend of public accounting and private experience

· Experience working in complex, multi-currency, multi-country environments

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment

· Strong analytical and Excel skills

· Strong aptitude for numbers and qualitative skills

· Experience with NetSuite (Oracle) or other ERP products a plus, but not required

· An interest in continued education and/or developing professional skills is very desirable

· Must be a roll-up-your-sleeves team player – “whatever it takes” attitude

· Ability to speak Spanish a plus
